A Night at Summit One Vanderbilt in NYC

Kenzo Digital Air Experience

If you are visiting New York City and looking for something truly unforgettable, SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an experience you should not miss. Faith and I decided to go one evening after dinner while we were already downtown. We had heard so much about SUMMIT One Vanderbilt and thought it would be the perfect way to end the night.

Booking Tickets and Planning Your Visit

We purchased the SUMMIT Ascent tickets for 56 dollars each at the time. We used Tiqets, but if you are planning a visit, I recommend checking GetYourGuide as well. Comparing prices and time slots can help you find slightly better deals or more flexibility depending on the day and time. The general admission ticket provides a set amount of time to explore, which worked perfectly for us since we wanted to visit right after dinner before heading home.

When we arrived, we scanned our tickets and were directed toward the elevators. There was a short wait, which is normal, especially in the evening. Nighttime is one of the most popular times to visit, along with sunset, so booking early is highly recommended.

First Impressions: Entering Air by Kenzo Digital

As the elevator took us up, the anticipation began to build. When the doors opened, we were greeted by something completely unexpected. We had entered the New York interactive art exhibit Air by Kenzo Digital.

Kenzo Digital is an artist known for creating mind bending and emotionally powerful experiences through physical space. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is his largest project yet. Using the one thousand foot canvas of One Vanderbilt, he created an experience that challenges your sense of space, time, and reflection.

Exploring Transcendence 1

The first area we entered was called Transcendence 1. Stepping inside felt like entering another dimension. The walls, ceiling, and floors reflected everything, creating a world that seemed infinite. You lose all sense of boundaries, and the city lights outside merged with your reflection in a way that was both surreal and breathtaking.

A New Perspective in Transcendence 2

Next we moved into Transcendence 2, which provided a completely different perspective. From this level, we could look down at the first room and see new visitors arriving and reacting for the first time. Watching others experience that moment of wonder added to the magic and made the visit feel even more special.

Fun and Interaction in Affinity

After that came Affinity. This space was filled with large silver balloons floating in the air. It was impossible not to smile and play with them as we walked through. The experience was lighthearted and fun, adding an interactive element to the night. From there, the views of the city were absolutely stunning. The glass walls offered full panoramic views of New York, and since we went at night, the entire skyline sparkled brilliantly.

Nighttime Views and the Glow of One Vanderbilt

As the night went on, the building itself began to glow. Watching SUMMIT One Vanderbilt shift colors and light up the city was incredible. It turned into a bright beacon that could be seen from across Manhattan. Standing there with Faith, taking it all in, felt like the perfect way to end our evening.

Why You Should Experience SUMMIT One Vanderbilt

If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly recommend it, especially if you love art, photography, or unique experiences. The combination of immersive art and breathtaking city views makes SUMMIT One Vanderbilt one of the most memorable attractions in New York City.

Whether you choose to go at sunset or at night, you will walk away with beautiful memories and an entirely new perspective of the city that never sleeps. SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is an experience that stays with you long after you leave and is a must for anyone looking to see New York in a completely different way.
